Where did my scrollbar go?

With Mac OS X 10.7 ("Lion"), the default behavior is for scrollbars to appear only when you move the mouse to where they ought to be. If you find this irritating, here's how to fix it.

1. Go to the Apple Menu, then System Preferences, then General (top left)

2. Select the radio button for "always show scrollbars" as shown here:
