Connecting to the VPN with a Chromebook

(The district systems administrator must create your profile on the VPN server and send you the ".onc" file before you will be able to do the rest of these steps. You only have to do them once.)

1. On your Chromebook, open a tab to this address:

chrome://net-internals#chromeos

2. Click "Import ONC file" and choose the file you were sent. You may not see anything happen, that's OK.

3. Click your profile/icon on the lower right corner, then select the gear to get to Settings, then Network, then VPN:

4. Click the little arrow to the right of your VPN connection name:

5. Click Configure. This is the silly part. Type ANYTHING into the Password field -- it doesn't matter -- and hit Connect:

Next time you want to connect, you have to go to settings -> network -> VPN -> your VPN connection -> Connect. Hopefully they'll restore the button soon...
