Embedding an RSS slideshow in a Google Site

1. Upload photos, make an album, make sure the album is "public on the web." See the first portion of this page for more info.

2. Click the album and copy the URL of the RSS feed from the lower righthand side. E.g.:

https://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/base/user/108131704742682781762/albumid/5817737329195291185?alt=rss&kind=photo&hl=en_US

3. Remove the "S" from https in the feed URL:

http://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/base/user/108131704742682781762/albumid/5817737329195291185?alt=rss&kind=photo&hl=en_US

4. On your Google Site, go to the Insert menu and select "more gadgets" then "by URL" and put in one of these Gadget URLs:

http://prac-gadget.googlecode.com/files/picasa-slideshow-simple-nb.xml (no border, no titles)

http://hosting.gmodules.com/ig/gadgets/file/108621208120033273647/picasa-slideshow-simple.xml (border, no titles) (this is the one HHS is using)

http://hosting.gmodules.com/ig/gadgets/file/108621208120033273647/picasa-slideshow.xml (border, titles)

http://prac-gadget.googlecode.com/files/picasa-slideshow-rnd.xml (dunno, random order maybe?)

Scroll down to adjust the box size, border, etc.

5. If you later add photos to the album and they will automatically get included in the slideshow (after a delay of several minutes.)
